Trying to animate Triangulation book as part of a performance work I am developing. Making the leap from one reader dealing with the book to presentating it as a video sequence. The transitions between the text-images don't work properly on here, and they are as important as the words themselves. They should fade in and then snap to the next image, so there is a moment when both are seen and then suddenly change. I am wondering how to deal with this.

  1. For me there is something jarring about the way the words just appear. It would nice to see a fade in version. Have you thought of having them pan across from left to right almost like they are on a conveyor belt? It might hold something that the triangulation book does really well. Like a continuous stream of conscious rather than flashes of text. Then they could be on a loop and go around and around. You could have multiple lengths of loops that repeat at different points and sometimes they come together and sometimes they don't. I think I just have the tracing paper book in my head and thinking about that circular continuous motion. :-P

  2. I just read your suddenly change bit :-) hmm maybe that idea won't work. Depends though how the words appear and disappear.

  3. Hmm....not sure about the scrolling left to right. Don't want it to feel like a conveyor belt. The version that I can;t get to show on this site is much better- with an overlap of the words, so the next one appears from behind the first and so on...
